THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Babasahab Dr Ambedkar Statue Installation Action Council has asked Dalits in the State to take out torchlight rallies tomorrow in protest against the alleged beating up of activists of Dalit Action Committee by the watch and ward staff of the Assembly. Council general convener Ajith Nanthancode said in a statement here today that though the statue had been completed seven years ago utilising the funds from the Centre, no initiative had been taken to install the statue. Kerala Dalit Panthers president K Ambujakshan said in a statement here that it would intensify the agitation demanding the installation of Ambedkar statue in front of the Assembly complex.
