JHARSUGUDA: President of Jharsuguda district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party Chiranjilal Agarwal has alleged arbitrariness and lack of proper verification in distribution of seats reserved for different zilla parishad areas here.

Agarwal has filed a petition before the collector seeking verification of voter's list as well as census report in order to give proper representation to all sections of society.

Pointing out the discrepancies, he said that though majority of people of Laikera and Kolabira belong to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe these seats have been reserved for backward castes.

Jharsuguda block zilla parishad which has been reserved for SC has a majority of backward caste people, while Lakhanpur zilla parishad III and I seats, reserved for SC (women) and ST (women) have a majority of backward caste people, he said.
