JAMMU, May 20: Dr Ambedkar Memorial Convent School Arnia Jammu today celebrated its 3rd annual day.

According to a press release, all the students, parents, staff members and prominent persons of the area attended the function. Mr Chaman Lal Banal, member Public Service Commission J&K was the chief guest, Mrs Shakuntala Sarmal, Joint Commissioner School Education presided over the function in which Mr Gian Chand Dogra, founder cum managing director was guest of honour.

Other prominent persons who attended the function included Mr Hari Chand, Dr Kamal Arora, Dr O P Saini, Mrs Sarla Mattu, Mrs Krishna Razdan and others.

The function started with Vandhana which was presented by the students of the school. Students also presented colourful cultural show comprised on patriotic and national songs, skits, dance and Dogri songs.

Nursery students presented Fashion Show which was highly appreciated by the audience. Mr Hitender Kumar, principal of the school read the welcome address.

Later a prize distribution function was also held in which Mr Chaman Lal distributed prizes among the 3 toppers of all classes in the field of education, best uniform and best handwriting.
