KATNI (MP): An 11th century idol of Lord Buddha was stolen from the historical Raibarha Gate situated near Katni Nagar Nigam here.

The idol, which was stolen on Thursday night had been installed in Katni in 1926. It is one of the selected few of its kind in the country.

The police has registered a case in this connection.
