NGOs warned against misusing Christian names The Times of India News Service HYDERABAD: Vishwa Christu Parishad, a voluntary organisation has threatened to expose the NGOs using Christian names and indulging in nefarious activities like child trafficking. It also wanted the State government to form a committee to study and strengthen hands of genuine non-governmental agencies working for the uplift of society. In a statement here on Wednesday, K George Mariadas said said many Christians organisations are working devotedly for the betterment of society and have earned goodwill of the people. Some pseudo NGOs were using Christian names to gain public sympathy and confidence and resorting to unlawful activities. "The parishad will put the names of pseudo NGOs on its website to expose them to the world," he warned. |
