KOZHIKODE: The Kerala Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Youth Forum president Vijayan Cholakkara on Saturday sought a detailed probe into the death of Rajeev, a tribal student and inmate of the Chadayamangalam tribal hostel.

Vijayan said in a statement issued here on Saturday that the hostel authorities, in their report, had maintained that Rajeev died on way to hospital. But Dr Sajeev, who examined the deceased, had observed that the death had occurred at least two hours before he was brought to the hospital.

Further, no sign of any epileptic attack was detected in the primary examination, the statement said.

It also warned the concerned authorities that the forum would begin various agitational programmes in front of the Chadayamangalam Kuriyodu Vettuvari tribal hostel if the culprits were not brought to book in the near future.
