VISAKHAPATNAM: Senior Telugu Desam leader and former MP P Appalanarasimham has opposed the reservation of Visakhapatnam

Zilla Parishad for ST candidates.

The reservation of the post for STs was an insult to the people of the district, Appalanarasimham told a news conference here today.

He said that there was dissatisfaction among the leaders as the post was reserved for STs for three consecutive terms during the last 10 years.

Appalanarasimham appealed to the government to go by the law in observing the rule of reservation.
