Tribal body flays Govt for failing to curb sale of kids VISAKHAPATNAM: The Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Association (APTWA) has accused the State Government of failure in curbing the sale of children. Organisation district convener M Suryanarayana said the increase in the number of orphans reflected the callousness of the government. He said that though the sale of children was brought to light last year no preventive action was taken by the government. The trade in children was rampant in the form of adoption and stressed the need to check the credentials of persons who offered to adopt the children. |
