15-year-old Dalit girl raped
http://www.hindustantimes.com/nonfram/101100/detSTA07.asp A 15-YEAR-OLD Dalit girl was raped in a brutal assault by a youth belonging to the upper caste in Mirzapur, the home district of Chief Minister Rajnath Singh on November 7 night. The youth, identified by the victim as Arun Singh, has not been arrested as yet. The police have registered a case of rape in the Cheelh police station of Mirzapur. It is reported that the DM and the SSP have assured the family members of the victim that they would be paid a financial aid of Rs.25,000. Official reports reaching the Home Department said the police have raided several places to arrest the accused. |
