Discrimination against Koluru Dalits alleged
http://www.deccanherald.com/deccanherald/dec05/dtko.htm State President of the Samata Sainik Dal`s Slum Dwellers Development Forum, Ignatius, and District President of the Student Union K B Prahlad have urged the deputy commissioner to start the rehabilitation process for the dalits of Koluru village ''who have been victims of upper caste atrocities.`` They have demanded setting up of residential schools, police outpost and community hall, and disbursement of pumpsets to dalits having lands. Closure of arrack shop and rehabilitation of devadasis in the village are among their other demands. |
