Lucknow Convention
Last year, the 17th National Convention(NC) of BAMCEF was held in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh and aryavrat. For this National convention it was planned to do fieldwork in 210 districts, however it was extended to 226 districts of India. The fieldwork was carried out in 26 states, however people from 25 states and 191 districts attended the Lucknow NC. Comparing the 17th NC vis-à-vis previous ones, meeting the above mentioned level of participation was a great success in its own way. And that is a why we called it a historical convention!
Our reader might be remembering that the 17 National Convention at Lucknow was really a historical one.
   
The History repeats again
Keeping the success of last National Convention in mind, we planned to organise great National Convention in New Delhi. Our workers, readers and well wishers know it well that BAMCEF chalked out a programme of extensive networking all over the country throughout the year. In order to accomplish the desired task, the entire machinery was deployed throughout the year. The country is vast and divided into 583 districts, 5500 Tahsils, 55000 blocks and 6 lakh villages. Our aim is to develop a strong network so as to reach to 550 districts, 5000 Tahsils, 50000 blocks and 6 lakh villages. For 18th National Convention, we worked in 26 states. In all 7200 delegates from 26 states were present at Kranti Jwala Phoolan Devi Nagar, New Delhi. Notwithstanding the panic caused by parliament attack, 7200 were present. Otherwise, more than 10000 would have attended. The new delegates put this figure to 12 to 13 thousand. Nonetheless, our organisational statistics is indicating participation of 7200. That means, thousand more representatives were present as compared to last National Convention. It should be regarded as a great success.
   
Participation from abroad.
In the last National Convention at Lucknow, Mr. M. S. Bahal was invited as chief guest. We discussed possibility of establishing BAMCEF’s network throughout the world. We never anticipated that our plan will bear a fruit a little early. Representatives from six countries were present in the 18th national convention. They promised to help in developing the network of BAMCEF abroad. It is beyond doubt that by 2004 BAMCEF will have presence in nearly 100 countries. This is a great achievement and historic fact too!

Participation of Govt. Officers.
In the previous National Convention’s, the Govt. servants were participating but the level of participation was less. This year, the level of participation was high and many officers holding highly responsible positions were present. This is a great achievement for the society.

Participation of full timers
The caravan of the BAMCEF we are witnessing today is an outcome of pains taken by the dedicated workers. This is an undeniable fact. However, the full timers have contributed a lot for the past 2 years. Last year 26 full timers were put to work. This year 70 full timers are working in the field. The society will spend almost 35 lakh Rs. on them throughout the year. This should also be regarded as a historic event.
   
Entering into advanced technology
Today is an era of communication and information. BAMCEF is not lagging behind in this field too. BAMCEF has started using the email facility and hosted a website too. The website was inaugurated in order to provide information regarding BAMCEF to the NRI’s and people from abroad. Owing to this, International networking will be easy. Thus it can be concluded that BAMCEF had entered into the era of communication.
   
Publication of Booklets
Most of the people may be aware that literature plays a key role in social change and social revolution, however most of the people are unaware of the fact that the literature is also incidental and non incidental. It enhances with time and that is why it is important to produce, propagate, preserve and publish the literature and new thoughts with changing times. That is why, we had planned to publish 200 booklets by the year 2004. Out of which 15 booklets have already been published in New Delhi national convention. 21 more booklets will be published by the end of Jan. 2002. The realisation of need of publishing the literature and publishing 15 booklets is also a great achievement.
   
The consummation of self-reliance.
The National Convention’s of BAMCEF are big events and we spend our money on it. The stooges of govt. arrange various conventions and arrange for free to and fro journey fair. Thus, they make our people dependent. On the other hand our people spend from their own pocket to attend the National Conventions. Thus an age-old habit of dependency has been overcome. In totality, the delegates spend crores of Rs. to participate in the convention. They contribute heavily for networking. For running the BAMCEF offices, they donate monthly. This is really a consummation of the feeling of the service and pay back to the society.
Social expansion
BAMCEF as an organisation has crossed many historical milestones. Out of 7200 representatives, 1500 were OBCs, 300 were STs and significant number of converted religious minorities were also present. This is an indication to the fact that BAMCEF has reached 85% of the people as per the desired task. This expansion is meant for social awakening and certainly reflecting the unavoidable future social change.
Workers from various organisations
In this convention, 500 workers from various organisations and states were present. During the convention they indicated their inclination to become members of BAMCEF. This means they wish to join BAMCEF. The process of admitting them has been started.We anticipated that the things will move in the right direction as we planned, nevertheless we never expected quick gains and enhancement in this short period of time. But this is happening. This is a great achievement. We are finding it difficult to count the achievements of this convention. And that is the reason why it should be called the historic convention and the historic convention!!!!
