BAMCEF's 18th National Convention held at "Kranti Jwala Phoolan Devi Nagar", Ramlila Ground, New Delhi from 16th to 19th December 2001

 

            18th National convention of BAMCEF was held recently with great enthusiasm between 16th to 19th December 2001 at Ramlila ground which was name as “Kranti Jwala Phoolan Devi” ground. The entire ground of 6.5 acre was utilized to establish the entire setup of BAMCEF’s 18th national convention. The main conference Hall was made of the sitting capacity of 10,000 people. Two fog proof residential pandals were made including compartments for 26 states. The control room complex include the main controlling room, Guest room, sleeping room for CEC (Central Executive Committee) members, the VIP toilet for Guest speakers, book storage room etc. The BAMCEF Media include two video cameras, two audio cassette recorders, two full fledged photographers, one 24 cassette copier at a time within 12 minutes for immediate coping the audio cassettes and issue it for mass consumption. One book fare of almost 20 participants was also organized. For the first time one exhibition was organized by Bihar state BAMCEF activists. Considering the convention in the heart of the capital of India, a separate media center hall was made so that there is no interference and intervention of the media people with the main program. The separate artificial sanitation arrangements were made for gents and ladies. The Dinning hall constitutes dinning of almost 7000 delegates within the allotted break of one hour. Everybody was impressed with the huge management. For this convention three tier security system was made considering the Dec.13th panic in the Parliament. The security system include private security guards, police force and BAMCEF Volunteer Force (BVF) giving the security throughout the day and night.
           The convention was to be inauguarated by Dr.Vidya Sagar Anand, but due to illness he could not attend it. Mr.Malkiaut Singh Bahal, International coordinator BAMCEF, inaugurated the website of BAMCEF.  For the first time one session was kept for International delegates to keep their views on internationalizing Phuley-Ambedkarite movement. Total 7200 delegates from 276 districts of 26 states of India participated in this convention. Almost 8 debate and discussion sessions on current topics related to indigenous Bahujan society along with three delegate sessions were organized. Prominent speakers who expressed their views  in the debate and discussion sessions were; Mr. Chandrabhan Prasad, Dr. A.Rammaiyya, Mr. L.K.Madavi, Mr. N.Paul Diwakar, Adv. P. L. Mimroth, Dr. Prakash Louis, Adv. J.S.Kashyap, Mr. Subhachan Ram, Mr. Kancha Illiyaah, Dr.Rajeev Lochan, Adv. J.N.Verma, Mr. Desai, Dr. Vivek Kumar, Mr. Maulkiat singh Bahal, Mr. Ali Anwar, Dr. Yogendra Yadav, Mr. Pradeep Dhobale, Dr. Laxmi Berwa, Mr. R.D.Kamble, Dr. Vasant Mhaske, Prof. Satyapal, Mr. Jemini Kadu, Mr. Ranchor Desai, Mr. D.D.Kalyani etc.
The General Body meeting was held on 19th Dec. 2001 in the main media center room and the existing CEC was dissolved as per the constitutional terms and new Body was constituted by the GB (General Body). Once again Mr. Waman Meshram was made president for another term of two years by the CEC members. In this meeting various topics related to organizational developments were discussed.
