Speaking on the subject Mr.D.D.Kalyani said that Gandhiji had not only betrayed the scavenging castes but all the depressed castes. Gandhiji had betrayed us but we had made him our elegy. In his autobiography"My experiments with truth," Gandhiji had written that the person touching the scavengers becomes obscure or impure. So one should not touch them. This is the fact and we consider our leader, our elegy to such a man. Gandhiji used to tell that I am not only Hindu but Sanatani Hindu (follower of traditional hinduism). I believe in all Hindu epics and varna system. All the vedic literature talks of unequality and Gandhiji favoured all vedic literatures. Gandhiji always use to say, to protect cows but he never uttered a single word to protect human.
Gandhiji had done nothing to liberate scavenging castes, rather he tried, not only tried but was fast unto death to get scavenging work to Mr. Patwardhan, who was from Valmiki caste while in jail. Often he was visiting areas of scavengers along with his goat. He use to say that his next birth will be in bhangi community. He deliberately wanted to do nothing for bhangi community so he assured the scavengers he will liberate them in his next birth.
Gandhiji considered all the untouchables under minority category. He told that if Muslims or Christans are bifurcating or changing their religion then he had no objection, but if the untouchables are changing their religion then he have strong objections.
On the other hand when Gandhiji was in Golmej conference, he himself addressed the gathering that there is no concept of minority in India. Gandhiji had done lot for his community but nothing for scavenging castes. Gandhiji had done nothing for independance but still he is called as Rashtrapita. Gandhiji's birth was for protecting brahminism in which he was 100% successfull. Gandhiji believed in varna system and in idol worship. Beyond doubt Gandhiji is brahminism and nothing else.
