In the schedule of
states, some most backward scheduled castes population is found in abundance.
Out of which some of the castes are known to be the revolutionary castes. Since
the Indo-British period such castes struggled and secured the
constitutional rights for their benefit. But those castes whose population is
comparatively less in quantity, did not raise there voice against the
established social system, such castes could not secure the benefits of the
constitutional rights. These castes cannot secure the constitutional rights
until and unless they are awakened to unite. Keeping in view this aspect, the
program has been chalked out for awakening and to unite them under one banner.
The Mulnivasi Valmiki Caste Liberation conference is the part of chain of the
awakening programs. The second caste liberation Mulnivasi Valmiki conference was
held at Jalandhar on 27 and 28th April 02, with grand success. Seeing the
success of this conference it may be axiomate to say that we are touching the
stage of success by socially awakening the Mulnivasi Valmiki caste.
Out of these most backward scheduled castes in North-West India, Delhi,
Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Rajasthan and some
part of Uttar Pradesh "Chuda" caste is the biggest in population. This
"Chuda" caste is called Valmiki community, which does the scavenging
work in large quantity of the population. Notwithstanding this community, there
are also some most backward scheduled caste communities included the SC
Schedule, for which development was not devised. Their quantity is also less
from the population angle. If we keep this aspect in our mind, there is also the
indispensability to awaken and unite them along with Valmiki caste people. In
future it is going to happen. Therefore we are giving special attention to this. Scavenging class people are
also forced in every state to adopt the distinct names and they are not called
as Valmiki universally. They have different names in different states. In every
state's schedule of scheduled caste, there is ony one-two or three communities
who are engaged in scavenging work. This requires our special attention. It
would have been the perennial endeavor in every state of BAMCEF to awaken and
unite these communities. |
