Conference on Dr.Ambedkar's ideologies

I would like to inform you that the Centre for Ambedkar Studies is conducting a National Conference on ‘Dr. Ambedkar’s Ideologies: Revision & Vision’ on 1 & 2 March 2007. The theme of the Conference is-
Dr. Ambedkar is not a theoretician; he is a practical sociologist and a legal luminary - a multifaceted personality. His ideologies have the sole purpose of ‘changing’the society.
All attempts at changing the society have proved uphill tasks. They have had to face hurdles and betrayals; Dr. Ambedkar’s ideologies too had to face them. We have observed them for the last six decades.
Though his ideologies have succeededin ‘changing’the Indian society to a large extent, their failures are also sifnigicant. An in-depth analysis of the reasons for their successes and failures are the need of the hour. Such a diagnosis to identify the hurdles and betrayals is necessary to draw a road map for the future and better implementation and better realization of his ideologies.

Research papers not exceeding 10 minutes reading time on the above thematic guidelines are called for.
A synopsis of 150 words along with the REgistration Form should reach the organizers on or before 9th February 2007.
Accommodation will be provided only for the participants.
